This wallpaper shows a scene of parting and thing below the characters is the dome that's covering Tokyo in that series. The clouds that are distorted by wind symbolize the characters dramatic feelings.

I have recently watched the movie of this evangelion-esque show and while I liked the TV show very much I wasn't so fond of that movie (which recycled 90 percent of the TV animation footage).
Although that character scan was of acceptable quality I decided to fully repaint it by using my graphic tablet (thanks to chibikko for advice on the colouring). With clean vectors being very popular at the moment I wanted this wallpaper to look like being traditionally painted.

    OH, cool!

I haven't finished watching this one, bu I saw the movie, and it did't catch my attention too... it was death and rebirth but without asuka XD anyway ...

This is a really nice wall, the clouds are somehow strange within the characters and his eyes seem a bit off her ... but this a major wall! man, I liked the painting so much! I can see that variation of the computer colors, but also I see the effort to get it painted like an usual pencil color, and for that you are congratulated! this is for sure a fav! for the anime, and for the art!

    Congrats abou this master piece!

You did plan out how the clouds would be no? They're pretty well done. Very dramatic, like how you used the page. Hm. :)

Very cool perspective and you can visually see the parting and the emotions that is a result of it. You did an awesome job on the repainting. It gives a dramatic effect but still has your style and it blends in well with your bg. Really love the way you did the clouds. Superb work~

Well RahXephon is one of my all time fav shows, and I really love what you did here. Great colours and flow. Specially like the painted effect. It has depth without being overwhelming and works perfectly as a desktop.
About the movie I think it still works better than Death and Rebirth if you want to compare it to Eva, and it still adds to the serie by showing a different and warmer side, although it definitely doesnt manage to stand out on its own.

finally a bit of blue in a Raxeniphon image, I was getting tired of all the yellow, brown, red etc. Love the pose, the dynamics and the strong feelings it suggests, the colours and the feel they give are amazing. I love it!
