Well finally after long hours my first wallpaper sees the light :D Before this I couldn't do anything with photoshop, so I had to learn everything :D I think I worked at least 50 hours on this wall, maybe more. The PSD was 50 MB, 35 layers. Actually I felt like something was missing yet but in the end I decided to post because I'm a perfectionist and I will never be happy anyway.
The concept is this: there has been a terrible storm but that girl is chasing the storm away by dancing on the water,
hence the title of the wall :D
After many tries, I decided to make the wallpaper fairly simple, since in the beginning I added too many elements and it
felt cluttered.
The image was extracted from this great scan http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/19946/ though the extraction was really painful @.@
Now on to a most important section...
I must thank all the persons who were kind and patient enough to give me tips, show me how to do things etc. There are too many to remember.. but the ones I bugged the MOST were, in sparse order, Nuriko, Tama-Neko, Sammo, Shinta, Limality, Yumi-chan, Semanga, Dustin,Katzbalger, jackalx66. I know I have forgotten somebody.. sorry for that.
Well that's it. This is my first wallpaper ever so please comment it. I really need any comment you may write :D

Gah you know I remember you showing this on IRC and I knew it was comming out....yet obviously I haven't reviewed it..what on earth is wrong with me... Anyways I must say considering this is your first wall...this is nothing short of speechless work. Though it doesn't shock me, you are quite a elite person (fitting with your position =P) so showing off this much skill isn't a surprize. I have to say I really love the work you've put into this. Such hard work and dedication paid off in the end. You've created such a fine detailed and lush background that is remarkable if I do say so myself. The choice of setting was a great choice and the nighttime atmosphere fits it even more. Such a majestic girl too... What I espically found different was the amount of cloud usage. MUCH more realistic (yes, its been that cloudy here before, if not very similar) and gives a sense of the clouds soon to cover everything in darkness. Just a brilliant idea that is very well fitting. Overall what can I say? High detail and excellant design and color choices earn the favorite =D.

I love your concept, it's a cute girl but different from the usual sparkly wall. ^^ I like the darker feel to it, and for being your first wallpaper it's a wonderful start. I think you really have talent. ^^ I look forward to seeing more from you. ^_^

As for the ripple.. I tried to soften it.. but I liked it more this way, and that's why I posted it so :DThis is tremendous. One can tell you put a lot of time in.
As for the lightning...it does have a sort of "forced" aspect. I don't know if you could get away with having the storm effect by having the bottoms or middles of the clouds illuminated, without the lightning bolt coming forward (showing the presence of cloud-to-cloud lightning). Subtle it up somehow...
Just a thought, though. Really, it's very good as it stands now.

i like the lightning. It seems realistic! And the clouds are amazing. They remind me of the rain clouds and the rain we're having here now...^^;; Let's see, yours is the darker version and it's stopping the storm. My version is more of fantasy.^^;; Yours is good, too, I must say! :)

I really like this wallpaper. I like the colors, the clouds, the water, everything. The only thing that I don't like, is the lightning...but it was a good plan. I still added it to my favorites, and sorry about the late comment. Keep up the good work.

For a first wallpaper, it's great. And a good job goes to the extraction from the scan, it looks great. It's just a little too plain on the left side, because there is a lot of unnecessary black. But other than that, it's a great wallpaper. A job well done. I can fortell that you would become a Photoshop master. :p

Hm..... that's a good wall, but something bothers me on it, that lightning , yeap, it's a little lost in the WP, If you made some more faded light under the clouds, or some more "holes" to let the moonlight trespassing, it would be more interesting and more like "oh the girl is dancing, cool, she is really putting that storm away". The reference to dimesion would be better too if you could put the area where she stands a little bit darker in the upper part (closer to the clouds), It would make it more distant!
Anyway, something I just loved, but I don't know if you made that on purpose, the three shiny stars in the moon's left side are Orion's Belt, from Orion Constelation? If so, it was just great, hehe!Well, overal all I told you I liked that WP really criative!

I just think one thing is a little bit strange, I mean the small lightning is not as well integrated as the other parts of your work.
Oh, and I apologie for hosting a wallpaper I don't make. I just want to find his author and maybe he would contact me if I show his work on different forum. But, I promise, I won't do it again.^^
