A quick and simple wallpaper I made to celebrate Soukyuu no Fafner Movie: Heaven and Earth ^^
When I first saw the movie poster, I just knew that I HAD to vector it. Although, at first I didn't have any intention to wall it. It was AFTER I watched the movie trailer at the official site, that I decided to make a wall instead. The SouKazu moment in the movie just SCREAMED at me! LOL
Anyways, I vector them normally at first, but with separate folder/layer for each of them of course ^^
Then I start applying layers of effects so that Soushi looks kinda disappearing ^^ I added the glow for more
disappearing effects (thanks to HaruToki~ Maihitoyo), and the typography. The "Separation" &
"Goodbye" represents Kazuki, while "Existence" & "Nothingness" for Soushi. Hahahaha..
I'm suck at typograpy, so I hope they look okay. In the background is the lyrics of "Separation" by
angela.
As for the title, it means "Please don't go!" Well, That one kinda stuck on my head ever since I saw the scans. Although I actually did wonder if I should use "Separation" instead. But since Kazuki looks like saying something to Soushi, I keep ?????? instead.

I think the words are a bit cluttering, I get the concept of it but I don't
think it was as successful as you hoped :\ Maybe if they're placed in the back
and not overlaying the characters so much they'd look more fitting, though I'm not sure.The BG is nice, seems very delicate for the scene. I can't help but think perhaps
a space BG of some sort could've been more fitting, with alot of nice stars just
to have more detail and hike up the dramaticness of it all. Still, this is all in my view.
There's nothing wrong with your BG, I'm just scanning ideas in my head as usual XDIt's a lovely wall, scene is desperately sad so that works for me >3
