I know this scan has been walled before, but candy-chan came up with the brilliant Kino Challenge for Paint-o-rama a little while back, so I feel no guilt, even though it technically ended already/nobody really entered anything for it. XD

Painting practice again - I rearranged the clouds in upper right corner of the scan a bit, then painted everything outside the scan (except the rays of sunlight) with mouse + hard round brush. No smudge. I'm a big proponent of mouse-painting... I've always thought that if I can master painting with a mouse then if I ever get a tablet, I'd be able to take full advantage of the capabilities and the $$ I'd crash on it.

When I first started painting I was like X.X grass! But then I got the hang of grass pretty soon and was like damn clouds! They still look kinda poopy, but I figure I should just finish and submit this one while the mood's on, since I started this one months ago. Had to paint this one on my office computer 'cause I didn't want to risk my home laptop (1024x768 res, 256mb RAM, 20gb HD) sputtering and dying before halfway... luckily it cooperated enough for me to put in final touch-ups and signature in :D

Original scan: here. Very light textures from Stock.XCHNG. Thanks to tat0es for support, way back when I showed her first, and Gids for final suggests + checks <3 And lastly, this is my super late birthday present for cyd84. I originally started something else for her but then I remembered us watching and enjoying Kino no Tabi back in the good old college days, so this seemed appropriate :D *loves*

Addition res @ pixel ellipsis! :D

Wow.. very pretty. ^^ I got the desktop resolution off your site because I don't use my laptop that frequently and can't have this as a desktop.>o< I love your painting-- very skillfully done and retains the kino-ish vibe. I would think this was what an extension of what the scan really looks like.

    So the beautiful world.. ..~

I dont like the fact that you used only the mouse....cuz it looks too good, specially the extension of the clouds it's remarkable...I dont see it as a wall but as a very clean and well executed reconstruction and quality work.

I love this. It was an instant love. It's really cool to actually know that you painted all this with mouse. O_o That's something I can't do.

I love the different colours used for the clouds, they blend so well and they create such realistic clouds.

The overall feeling of the wall is just... something refreshing, especially after the rain. This is love. I love it >.<
