this vector wall took FOREVER to complete. i am going to need to put my wrist in a brace after all this mouse usage... anyway, pic from Vampire Knight i found in the MT gallery and was like "I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT WALLED BEFORE" and decided to go for it.
hours: can't remember exactly but some where in the ball park of 25
layers: thousands... felt like zillions
i did the shading to look as creeptastic as possible so it is way different than the original scan however i stuck the the original colors. the BG is 100% original, all made up in my head and hand delivered to you via Photoshop. the spider web just added to the creep factor so i loved it. there are 4 spiders in there. i really hate spiders... but they looked cool for the wall.
.... update... i had forgetten to put in the eyebrows >,,<. fixed it...
....update2... i did a little darker thicker "eyelash" line...

Hm, this is my field. Good Job on outlining. However I think the colors are not in its best. Although you did 2 layers of shading, it still look flat, widen the shadings.
The colors in the roses looks nice (very unique color for vk rose). I think the main problem is Yuuki's hair and eyes. The coloring is not attractive.
One more thing... actually this scan was walled before.

The only thing that's actually really creeping me out are her eyes. They look extremely scary because of the lack
of eyelashes.
Looks like she's intensely staring and those lines around her eyes emphasize a tired look.
Except the need for eyelashes, I think this wall looks good, I like the simple bg and the flower dragon is neatly done.

I like the shading, I think you did a good job of making it look slightly dead. The rose bird dragon thing turned out great, the shading on the leaves/wings is especially nice. Full viewed the shading on all the pale colors stands out more.
I like the color you used for her hair and eyes, it's not the usual brown, but a more subdued shade. And her eyes are creepy. I like the spider webs. The outlining is really, really good.
I can see that you intentionally went for a muted palette to match the feeling of the scan, and I think it works. It's different from the usual lush, intensely-colored VK walls we usually see. I think we're used to seeing VK stuff painted, too, so this is a nice change. More crisp. It makes a little bit of statement, like "just because it's a Vampire Knight wall that doesn't mean it has to be burgundy and smudged." I know you put a ton of effort into it and it's really good.
I agree with Sakura-Dust's opinion, she maybe needs some eye lashes. She does have that wide awake look to her without them :D. I like the pale colors and color scheme you went for, it's way different than the norm. Good job on the background and concept. Keep it up ^-^!

this is awesome! there aren't many pictures of Yuki with short hair that I like; I just prefer her so much more with long hair! but this one is really beautiful... Good Job!
