Hello! First I should say it's a special for the GS and GSD categories.

When the 2006 World Cup was still going on, I had the idea of drawing some C.E. characters into their country's colors. Recently, I felt I wanted to share this with you as a good and funny souvenir from Germany 2006 if you liked the tournament.

This is the second set of characters I divided into 3 countries (France, Germany, Japan - the teams I cheer for) involving each 2-3 players and their top fan as well. Germany is my second favorite team, and the number of German characters was too tempting for me to resist. ^_^' ;)

I half drew this one by myself without any inspiration from GSD nor SEED pics. The poses for Dearka and Tolle were directly taken from players like Ballack, Klose, and Podolski; however the result was more than satisfying as they really look like real players. I chose Tolle as the goal scorer and Dearka as the captain (in a Vintage 1990 jersey).

Heine's pose came from a 3D fanart I found long ago (not on this site) and the idea of including Miriallia came from that pic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Miridest.jpg. Milly can be described as the leader of the Mannschaft's fanclub and as an official photographer for them. :) I wanted to keep her shirt neutral by having no number/name on it, but I sometimes think I should have put the number 13 and the Ballack name on her back... which would be slightly biased towards Dearka because he's the number 13 (to me).

Enjoy!

lol awesome idea, i love the country match ups, though tolle doesn't look right, and dearka's eyes look funny, but miriallia came out really well

Tolle was the toughest to draw since very few pics of him do exist. I tried to bring Tolle up based on a 3D Lukas Podolski model by making him a little thinner than Podolski and try adding his face on. Honnestly, a real player would be heavier than how Tolle originally was. The headsize is at scale with my model, but I agree Tolle's hair makes him look like Paul Breitner (LOL!).

About Dearka, a great fanart of him gave me the marking points for the face, including the eyes. It's not that bad since I considered the facial expression from the original model: Michael Ballack.

Milly... I am very proud of her design since her bandana was very helpful in putting German colors and also "putting a shirt over another" was quite easy.
