I originally started looking for Kei Toume artwork after seeing a few scans in the mt gallery and ended up finding Fuguruma Memories...a short color manga that completely blew me away for its plot, art, style, and most of all characters

There were so many good images to choose from but I ended up picking this manga scan from the end of the series

I sacrificed the color to go for a sepia-tone look that suited the importance of photographs and old memories in the series...my title (a translation of the French in the wall) is an allusion to Proust's seven volume work A la recherche du temps perdu ...(In Search of Lost Time or Remembrance of Things Past)... which is also about time and memories in love and life

Technical details:
Approx 10 hours
Approx 20 layers

    Wow, very cool!
It's simple, yet the color tones seem to make it look like there's a very deep story behind it.
    Excellent job!

Oh my God, you're on a role this weekend! XD

Beautiful warm sepia colours always give it that aged-photograph quality. But I love the way that the blue eyes pierce through giving the girl a strong sense of fresh youth. But her expression is a little worrying. What can she see with those blue eyes that the rest of us can't?

And the all-over texture. It's a simple feel to it, but there's no one spot of this wall that's just blank. Every pixel is coated in that inviting texture. Simple, yet extremely effective! Love it!

ohh... where to start? ^_^' let's see, first the scan choice which is great, I really like the scan you've chosen and the treatment you've given it, even though it was a big sacrifice going for the sepia the result of the whole piece justifies it completely.

The completing of the scans vibe through the wall is very well achieved and again the sepia tone adds just more moodiness to the already nostalgic feeling the original image gives. Very nice texturing and overall grungying XD

One thing I'm not that fond of, the typo... but not the typo itself but the fact that it is crisp and very well defined, maybe if it was a bit darger with a slight grunge brushwork could be fitting more properly into the hole mood I feel from this, but maybe that's just me ^_^' and it's a very minor thing that really doesn't take much away from your wall. Overall I really like this.
