Delicate Decay

Gritty & Chaotic

This orchestrated mess of colour and texture not only defines the point of Noir art with a wicked edge, but also furthers its endeavour into the arena with a touch of passive violence! A lively dynamic construction whose creation came about rather suddenly. Inspiration presented its self with an unshakable enthusiastic wave of passionate rawness. The primary artwork featured in Delicate Decay is a painting from an unknown artist and is composed using what I'd presume are ink, watercolours and lining pens. The secondary artwork construction has been designed rather simply using multi-layered brushwork and passive colour sampling. The end result: a blend of grit and antiquity that I'm extremely pleased with. I can only hope my viewers appreciate this work as much as I enjoyed it's creation. And of course, if anyone happens to know the name of the original artist for the primary painting, then by all means, PM me immediately and proper accreditation will be processed.

Fans please be kind:

Even though the quality is not the *best* quality, i really like the combination of different textures and the frame. Love it. ^^ Good work.

Thank you very much my friends!
That's extremely kind of you to say. I'm so happy to see this work has been so well received! Thank you once again!
And likewise Daisuki is correct, the original painting used in the construction of this artwork lacks quality. When found the image was both smaller than shown in this piece and also rather artefacted. Regardless, I feel it adds to the character of the piece and did not attempt to modify the painting any further other than simple size adjustments. :)

The contrast of color is great here. The green on red is so bold and the grunge texture is great. I also like the frame, it feels right in this wall despite being something I mostly don't like.
    ty for sharing!
