Mm, nice work for your first wall.
i like the background. The color suits the character well, and I really like the effect of the lines going across the sakura. The blossoms that wander out over her are a nice touch. For improvement, I'd suggest cleaning up the scan a little more. Compared with the background, the scan looks kind of flat and lifeless. A quick fix for that is just to duplicate the layer with the scan and set the duplicate layer to overlay. It'll bring out the colors of the scan more, and it'll look brighter and cleaner. Maybe a smart blur on the original layer too.
