I got the idea to make this Hikaru no Go wallpaper from the cover of chapter #103, which showed Hikaru and Sai's faces decorating a couple of go stones. I wanted to use Akira and Hikaru, the eternal rivals, so I used the cover of one of the latest chapters for this. I love the look on them on that image, so intense. ^_^

It looks pretty simple, but there was a lot of work involved. Some parts of the images needed to be redrawn. The texture in the stones, as subtle as it looks, was hand drawn. The board is mostly a stock picture of wood obtained from sxc.hu, however, it didn't match exactly the color and texture I wanted for this board, so I used some brushes and a couple of additional layers to get this nice goban texture.

Mmm, that's an interesting concept of wall, it's simple but I like it. Also I like the skin of wood that you used for the board. Nice work that you made, indeed. Keep up the good work.
