The background is so beautiful ^^ . Nicely put together using the different sources. All comes together to make a nice wall.
Artist Comment
A new wallpaper for my favorite anime series of all time, Haibane Renmei. The raw pics came with the OST collection I torrented a little while ago; the background is an overhead shot of Glie and the pic of Rakka is from the cover of the second Haibane Renmei doujinshi by Yoshitake ABe, Old Home no Haibane Tachi 2.
UPDATE: Blurred the background a bit more to match Rakka in the foreground, as per shirahana's comment.

The thing is that the girl is too blurred and soft to match the sharpness of the background. But overall, nice :D

Well, she matches the sky. ^_^;;;That is one of the things I was worried about, to tell you the truth. Matching the foreground with the background, with the styles and the lighting. I'll probably update it tomorrow, or possibly later tonight. Thanks for the comment.

I really love the warmth that the colouring & gentle art brings to this series. It's a nice touch with the gentle glow seems to capture the feel for the character :)

OH MY god!!! Rakka...Haibane Renmei!!!!!!!!! This series is so freaknig cute, even though I'm on episode 6!! I can't wait to finish it oh man I love this picture sooo much!!!

This is by far my most favorite wallpaper from by you so far. The combination of colours is nice, and you use them very well. And wow, the background is really cool; the lighting is perfect, it isn't too cluttered and nothing is in the wrong position, it's just such a nice picture of the countryside. The text isn't too large, weird looking or annoying. And the scan, that fits in perfectly too. Although the the blur is a bit overdone, it kinda spoils the whole thing just a little.
Really, great work, we need more wallpapers like this on MT. ^_^
