I feel someone's gonna complain about this so I'll say it now. I was not thinking about the Tsunami disaster what-so-ever when making this wall. This has nothing to do with it. So no conplaining about it.
Anyway, just another continuation of the Ward series I accidently created. This time it's water. Fire and Mist was a breeze to do because they can be anywhere and interact well with the character. Water doesn't. Getting the scene to look alive was a nightmare.
The only stock images used are the scan, seaguls, sand and sky. The rest was all brushes with filter overlays, layer blends and gradients.
All in all, total work done was about 3 days of work, 28 layers and 2 days of research and reference searching. I hate research and reference, but without it I woudn't of made the ocean and wave like it is.

mmm... overall still looks too blurry :\ I told ya the sand could use more graininess...
but that's some brilliant concept you got there... and great layering effects, ... the mist and water splash looks much nicer than before.....
and XD lol indeed it has nothing to do with Tsunami.... -

Yeah I know, really hard to make a wave ^O^.
But the overall was very good ^^.
I like the they blend together, the cloud and the sky behind her XD

Ahh~ the girl.. her image doesn't seem very good quality. XP The top half of her, especially.. looks like the line's been chewed away a little around the ears, sleeves and tail. I'm not very good at crit'ing realistic walls, because I haven't the slightest clue how to make them. Still, I was thinking that maybe the sand could use a bit of black outline (just the small ridge she sits behind), like she's got? Just so the girl matches with the bg a bit better. She seems to stick out (although, hats off, you've picked up on her lost/spaced out-kinda-look very well). Or maybe that's why some of her outline line is gone?
Frankly, I'd also try recolouring her to tone the girl down a little. XD The pink and purple really don't match the dark seascape you've got going behind. The dark hue/saturation thing just makes her eyes look dim and general appearance somewhat dirty.
Uwahh. >_< I feel so negative! Sorry about that! Don't get me wrong-- I can definitely see the effort you've put in with the blending and all. On a non-anime wall, it would look a lot better (making things look realistic is definitely an achievement [ye gads.. i totally gave up on that approach ages ago.. :sweat:]). Unfortuantely, I think the girl sticks out a bit much this time.

Very nice effects on the background, you really did some neat stuff with the fog flowing, and the water/clouds/birds are very nicely done also, excellent job!

All I can say is Thank You -- Thank You for taking the time to research before creating such a masterpiece to share with us! The girl is Cute, the mist is a wonderful bg effect, and I really like the glowing bell (the source of her "power"?).............. :D
