What can I say... This one was kinda easy.

I'm still having a break of vectors, so I decided to use this scan. I rendered it last year, and tought it would be good do something with it. I started flipping the picture to the left and looking for a good stock for the background, something calm to fit my ideas. I found this one, and started. I used lots of things: overlay and blur, color balance, some clouds textures over and behind the render, gradient map with just a little opacity, and over all, a nebula pattern with motion blur to make the rain. I don't have any rain brushes or something here, and usually they're small or not good for what I want, and I like the results with the pattern. I removed some saturation of it too, to make it lighter.

I also had to light the borders of the render and use a little blur under its layer to be softer and stand out with the background. But it was kinda fun, I think the whole wallpaper took me just 40 minutes or something like that. I made it yesterday, but it was late and I was tired to post here right after finishing.

Oh yeah, the title and the design itself was inspired on Roxette's song, Queen of Rain. I just love the tune and the lyrics... It's something that helps to tranquilize me and forget the stressful life I have...

Original scan: Here.

The render is on my Planet Render account too, you can download it by clicking here.

Its beautiful, and your right very calming. The vector is amazing good job you are very talented in that field I admire you for that ^_^. I do have to say though from afar the rain look really good but maybe I would put a few more obvious rain drops in the background to give us something to focus on to make it go "oh its raining" because when I zoom in i just think its a nice filter/blur effect to have a nice calming background. Also I think the vector could be a little more standout I think you might have do the same to her have less cloud textures and rain ON HER and have more noticeable rain drops just a few in front of her. Also I think you have a cloud brush/texture on her boob I would make the opacity even less it stands out a little to much. Over all great job I will continue to admire your work

Also word of advice to stop people from stealing your work and to always have a way to prove its your own work when someone trys to forge yours. I would put either one of these, your name, username or email in the bottom corner of your artwork
