I was just.. experimenting over the past 3 hours, probably listened to that song at least 10 times, and this is what
happened. To be honest, I'm nervous to post this, but.. I wanted it to look like watercolors and vectoring together
on purpose, uhm.. hopefully it translates how I presume ><
Uhm, since I merged the whole thing and forgot to save the PSD (again -_-) I can't show you the full process, but I
can describe it to you
The entire thing I painted over, there's no part of the original image, so you know
1. vector basic shape of skin, hair, clothes
2. apply rough color blocking in shades (bright pink for highlights, dark pink and blue for midtones, dark purple for
shadows) and smudge as clipping mask
3. second layer of shading (30% opacity black scribbles on shadows), combine as overlay and smudge as clipping mask
4. apply watercolor textures with the colors preferred as clipping masks, blend the odd spots
5. background, multiple overlay of several watercolor textures
6. create simple petal brush, apply shape dynamics and swipe it, set to Screen, blurred some of the petals
7. applied an underlayer of entire person shape, smudge edges, Set to Color Dodge
8. various finishing touches o.o
Sorry for spamming with so many walls lately o.o
Textless versions available, ofc.
And a nice dark monochrome one for srsn XD
