Artist Comment

My first attempt at a wallpaper. Its probably not very good, but I am trying to familiarize myself with the tools and features of Adobe Photoshop, and I still have yet to learn most of it.

The background was found off of www.ThemeXP.org, if I knew the artist of the background I would give them proper credit here.
Scan is from here, I forgot who scanned it due to the large amount of images on my one harddrive, I give the scanner proper credit for his/her wonderful scan.

Anyway, please criticize my first attempt and maybe teach me how to use Photoshop better?

oh shame, you didn't make the background.. :P
erm, well as I said before, it's too dark, and the transparency with Rei looks weird.
    But it's a good first attempt ^^

Actually its really good for a first timer ;)

It really would be nice if you would make the back yourself, and yes the transparency with Rei does look iffy.. But i like it :)

I've seen a lot of abstract 3D pieces and I know how busy they can get. I am glad to see that you managed to keep it from being that way. And in combinatin with the character, well it all just fits well. Nice work.
