Good composition, good colors, good image selection, but a bit too much glow effect on Lain... that 's a bit uneasy to the eye...and a nice added logo placed on the upper-right corner...
you got a 9 for a first attempt, well done :D

the image quality on this is absolutely amazing. and this is your first wallpaper? that's downright unbelievable. I don't find the glow around her as destracting as the extra picture in the upper left-hand corner, but still top notch. Well done, again.
