My simple rendition of a combination of #14 and #19 of the Trigun manga. I decided to mix Legato's stance of both chapter covers together since I'm terrible at making hands. >_<
I've always been a fan of Legato... almost felt sorry in a sense for his character.
I tried to do shading, but I think I won't do that again. I can't seem to ever get it right. ^_^'
He's a little messy, but I tried.

Hey! :) It's nice to see some of your drawings. Yay it's Legato! I haven't watched Trigun for years, need to get around to that again...
Well, the main issue with this one is proportion. Basically the head and hands are waaaay too small for his body. I know he has wide shoulders, but they aren't quite that big. ^^
Yeah. When I always see him drawn he's WAY out of proportion shoulder-wise. That's kinda why I drew him that way, but I know what you mean. ^^ Thanks!
There are so many things wrong with the drawing, so I'll keep it short. Firstly, what you need to do is to learn life drawing. Basically, that means you draw something you see live, not from another picture. Slowly you will develop a sense of anatomy.
As for shading, you need to know your light source. You also need to know that what you see is light reflected into your eyes, so as long as there is light, there won't be any absolute black.
