XD Hi! This is my 1st vector ever!
This is an original.
PLEASE FULL VIEW - FULL VIEW - FULL VIEW
Puh-lease... :o

kay moving on, I am working on a dark wallie for the dark wallies club. I came across a problem with it. The answer? Vectoring. 2nd problem? I have no experience vectoring. D: Answer? Vector.

And that's what led me here.
Now, I will give other details while trying to keep it as short and organized as possible. If you read this then I give you many hugs :D

Title:: Rise of a Yakuza:: Leyla Kaiden - vector
Series:: Original. (Rainfalling LoveStory)

About:: This character is Leyla Kaiden. She is the heroine of the story. She hates bullies so she kills them. :D she tried to literally, but she's not allowed to on school grounds. She is practically a psycho.. yes.. She's gone crazy over the main character, Edwin Mana. Could it be love? She's an orphan and some say she was once the daughter of a yakuza gang. Depsite all this, she is not mean. She's protective. And she's very friendly. She just doesn't approve of the abuse of others.

Flaws of this Vector:: I think after hours of working on this vector, I've picked up some tricks here and there on my own. However, now that I have the basics down, I want to aim for some higher tricks. So I will be referring to more advanced tutorials now I believe. While doing this, I felt I needed to learn more about coloring it. But the thing that bothered me most was the lines' stroke. I don't know how to make the line fade from thick to thin and vice versa. I will be looking into that more. But despite that, I feel confident in this. I hope I did a good job.

Almost forgot to say this! The outfit she's wearing is like her uniform! Whenever she's free or not in school, this is what she wears throughout the story unless said otherwise. lol

How It Was Made?:: Draw it on paper. Scan it. Make a new layer. Trace it with vector tool piece by piece and fix it with those bendy line things.... Stroke it with brush. When all done, layer by layer, color in everything separately.

My Goal for This:: That someone would wall it. Somehow I doubt that'd happen though so I don't ask.

Next to be vectored:: My next experiment will be a drawing I made of me and vati-chii! <3 <3 <3 (vatican92)

Thx for reading people! <3

etto.. sel-chan, those are nice lines (fore being your first one) but the coloring.. you must try adding more shadows and not doing too much gradients (like in her hair, for example)
there are many tutorials out there that will teach you how to do a nice coloring :D

im sorry for the long post (ne, i don't even know how to vector.. and i'm talking ^_^' )

In my opinion, the clothes design is good too but I don't really like the logo design on her shirt...
But like Miku said, the line is nice for first one but you can try to add more shadows ^^
For the gradient on her hair, I think it would be nice from under to top so it'll look good ^^

It looks ok for your first vector,I'm really glad you finally started to vector :)
Now we can see really awesome stuff from you ;)
I really like the gradient on her hair...
Her clothes are a little to plain, and they need some shading...also,the red words on her shirt is really strange and it looks over sharpened...
I must say I'm quite impressed with your outlines, they are really even and soft...only,I think it would be better if they weren't so round on the edges...I like pointy lines,I think they are more suitable for vectors...
Anyways, you get a fav from me encourage you to do more vectoring XD
