I've been in a dark/horror wallpaper mood lately, perhaps because I've also been in the mood for more photo-manipulation than vectoring for a little while. And I'm sure listening to the soundtrack for Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams hasn't helped either ^_^'

The music of inspiration is actually on my userpage mp3 player, for anyone who's curious to hear it. The song really helped in the making of this wallpaper when try to get the right feel for this wallpaper, which heavily included picking more sombre colors and a cloudy, grungy texture to incorporate. The scan of Fiona & Hewie was extracted, touched and repainted in a few places, and scaled to fit the perspective of the background stock photo. Much of the background had to be repainted due to the way light was reflecting (the photo was of a daylight scene). The result I aimed for was a solemn, misty labyrinth that matched the feel of the castle Fiona must wander through in the video game. I don't think I have ever seen a wallpaper for this series, now that I think about it o_0

I remember watching my mom play this. It was pretty intense when that scary dude started to chase ya....
On to the wall: You're really goof at phot manipulation (if I was anywhere near as good as you, I'd probably be doing wallpapers in that style...).
