Okay, it is a total fangirl cliche for Duo to be in drag. Oh wait, you didn't realize that was Duo? I'm not surprised. But that IS Duo Maxwell, God of Death, or in this case, the God(ess) of Citrus (I spelled it that way on purpose because it was funnier). Here's the pic of Duo, usually called the "sexy bitch" picture by fangirls. [sidenote: anyone who tries to argue that Gundam Wing isn't gay should check out this series of pictures.]

I found the girl of the piece a long time ago at Random (cynical126's site). The painting was B E A U T I F U L. The girl is SERIOUSLY busty and laying back against every fruit I've ever seen. I saved it even though I never thought I'd be able to use it because it was so detailed, complicated, and, um, breast-a-riffic. When Kashi announced this contest I had a spontaneous recollection of this pic and abusing poor Duo with it. Heh heh.
There was really only one lemon in the original, but if you know anything about yaoi fiction (especially fanfiction), "lemon" is the euphemism for a love scene, and citrus is used as a warning that naughty things are forthcoming. So I added more oranges and lemons. The biggest challenge here was the hair. Her hair was blonde and so beautifully shaded that it was breaking my heart not to paint it. Don't be surprised if a wallpaper version comes out before the end of the summer and that it's gloriously smudged. I used lots of different shades to try to capture the light of the original hair and still make it brown without painting. When I was almost done with the hair I decided that it wasn't Duo enough so made the sloppy braid. I thought it looked like it was unravelled and that was the reason for all the hair spread out around him. The crown of leaves and berries was on the girl's head, but the bangs are Duo's originals from the sexy bitch pic. I had to work pretty hard to adjust the bodice of the dress since the girl's boobs were so big that the top was almost to her waist to just barely cover them up. I ended up moving the overlay image so that leafy ruffle was near his shoulders then moving it back down for the waistline and sorta stretching it in between. Here's a pic of the girl:

It turned out to be a weird mix of outlined and cell-shaded vectoring, along with a judicious use of my sloppy, sketchy lines (y'know, I really CAN do a clean vector, I don't know why I prefer it to look sorta messy). I worked my ASS off on this, mostly by not sleeping and being a zombie the next day at work. A lot of stuff happened in my life during this and W?W Round 6, and I was only able to do one, and picked this. My grandfather is in the hospital for complications of pneumonia, my aunt (who is only 52) was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer (making me feel really guilty for not liking her very much in the last few years), and my boyfriend got bitten by a poisonous spider. That may sound minor, but the brown recluse spider is really toxic, and he neglected to tell me about it right away, and it's horrible, disgusting, painful, disgusting, gross, dangerous, and disgusting, and he refused to go to the hospital even though the venom is so strong that the tissue it damages will NEVER come back. My best friend and I got into a fight because of it due to a misunderstanding and she basically "broke up with me" over it (we got back together though after some seriously long emails). Because he can hardly walk I've been doing ALL of the household chores and fetching things for him, which I don't mind, but I haven't had a whole lot of time to sit and vector without missing out on sleep. Wow, that was a really long paragraph of whining, I'll stop now.
I complied with Kashi's request for no raster techniques, but when I wall this, watch out.

This is a very interesting piece! The way you vectored the hair is absolutely awesome! o.O
But I don't think the girl is made by Ugetsu Hakua. Firstly, the artsyle is really different and also, from what
I know, "sweet body" is an artbook by happoubijin.

job on the hair, I like how you combined Duo's braid with the girl's so it looks
like his braid is coming loose ^^ His expression matches the pose nicely too,
though I think you missed the eyebrows... and I think his skirt could use more
shading...
And don't worry, it's not late, since we decided to extend the deadline (again, to July 1) 'cause people were complaining
