This is inspired by a fic written by D.C. Logan of the same title for the "Mission: Get Together" contest at Moments of Rapture last year. In brief, her story was about Zechs and Wufei being asigned as partners in the Preventors, and the prickly feelings based on various past, um, issues. In the end they end up together after a LONG, trouble-filled, deeply emotional and complicated story. It's really fantastic. Even if you don't know much about GW, it's a great story.

I've read a couple 6x5 stories before, and the premise is usually that they both have complex emotional hang-ups relating to Treize, and that makes it really hard for them to stand each other, and eventually they find in each other what makes them feel stronger and heal, yada yada yada. This story downplays Treize's role in history and focuses on how they've changed in the years between Endless Waltz and this story.

I've experimented with painting AND vectoring this and I always decide that I like the pale, whispy, sketchiness of it better, so here it is. My first ever fan art submitted to MT! Woohoo!
