First thing I'd like to say:
THIS IS NOT A WALLPAPER!
Grr...ok I'm calm now...
Hm..don't know what else to say about this. This was my first serious vector project. I vectored other things in preparation to do this. Links to my first two practise vectors at the bottom of the description. I did this wall in prepartion for my next wall (hopefully ready to submit by the end of the month) which is like 50% complete right now.
First vector. The original image is in the top left corner in it's original size. In this one, I haven't quite mastered the pen tool yet so I made this...
It's a vector of Saber from Fate/Stay night and I think I've finally mastered the pen tool!
Boring Stats:
Hours: 22 (I actually kept track of time on this one =P)
Layers: ~30(too lazy to count)
Cups of coffee required: 15(It hink I'm becomming an addict ><)
Number of times computer froze: Stopped counting after 30 times. I think I need a new computer *goes to destroy

This is amazingly well done. The colors and patterns are creative, the vector is nearly perfect (a few rough edges here and there, but nothing to worry about) However, the orange/gold areas could use some patterns, they seem kind of simple without any (not really that big of a problem) This is one of the best vectors I have seen in awhile.

Gosh, what is there to say? This is fabulous. I think the Gankutsuou style compliments Clamp's artwork really well. There's so much to look at! I really love it. Very nice work.

Well, regardless of it not being a wallpaper, I still think you did a great job and looks great on any desktop. ^_^ I love the art from XXXholic and you did a fantastic job. This is definitely being added to my favorites. Hope you continue to use your vectoring skills.

Pardon me for being late with the comment, so here goes:
While this wallpaper definitely stand out, the most powerful and first thing I noticed is the use of default brushes on the upper hanging vines or leaves, this is really an amazing feat as you incoporate such a difficult style of applying all sorts of patterns over your work, you clearly defined each and every detail, dressing it with a pattern while giving it so much style and essence, the vector itself is just amazing, while having the nothing but the best lines, everything is clean, is perfect except for some parts of the face lines which IMO, may be a bit too thin for my taste, it looks the character is made of paper rather than skin, and 2 D ish, however, nonetheless, being some nitpick detail, this vector art incorporates perhaps the finest and finesse of the vector art world. I think you definitely deserve some sort of recognition.
My utmost appreciation for you.
If you remember, the first time when I added you to my friendlist I mentioned how you are my inspriration, and hence you have proven again your artistic skills are far superior. A great piece of work indeed. -
