Just thought I'd try making a more traditional style wall for fun. Did this one pretty quick. When I found the stock photo on sxc.hu, I thought it went perfect with this scan. It reminds me of one of those Japanese horror movies lol....(sorry, no higher res available.)

nice wall. the background definitly suits the scan and makes the character look even a little bit spooky with the eerieness of the forest. though i think that the text is more fitting if it was more to the right. but it looks fine as it is. overall wonderful job ^^

well the bg is not much .. but I really like how it turns out...
nice cleaning job on the image and looks as if you darken abit to match the bg... which is a nice touch...

Pretty interesting - I've never seen many wallpapers where a real background would compose so nicely with an anime character. Well done!

Love this image. The scan works so well with the b&w photo, with that dreamy/misty feel with a touch of grunge and antique too. Love how the text continues that, with the bit of splatter.

The char herself looks really pretty, her kimono adds just the right amount of color, i.e. not too much to make the black n white bg not enough for her
