Broken, Poem by Debbie Dixon:
I see me sitting sadly in the corner
Knees drawn up tightly to my chest.
Mind and body wreaked in sorrow
As tears course down my face.
I pray to a God I don't believe in
Yet I curse him in the same breath.
I look at me with narrowed eyes
Pitying the sorry creature I have become.
I look into my wretched soul
Cursing the emptiness inside.
Emptiness put there by my own stupidity.
As I stand over the huddling form of myself
I see I have gotten what I deserved from life.
I had no right to the beautiful love we shared
When the love rightfully belonged to her.
Sadly I watch the shell of myself slowly cracking
Oozing out all the pain and misery within my soul.
There on top of all the shattered pieces

Well kicking off the New Years! I have a new present for all of you :). Its called broken the anime is Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is a little free time off work wall that I did while listening to "Evenesence - My Immortal" this wall portraits about how the world would be like if we continued on the path of war. The scan was perfect for this wall including that I added the water trickling down Shinji face and Rei's body. I also added the pathway and did some experimenting with it, I also created the sign thats near them it says "LAST EXIT" trying to tell you that the last exit (hope) has basically been destroyed and has been damaged. I added more detail to the sign like the bolts on the corners and the center and then added the distortion on the peices of the sign as you see on the top and bottom and then added the puddle of water to add that last effect. The background itself was a quick but well show of design by using a hard bush and scribble around the area making buildings and such and then adding the fill effect to it giving that horrid like atmosphere. I then thought it would be good to add a storm to the mix with heavy rain and then blurred most parts of the picture resulting in a downpour effect (I was experimenting with that too). Next was the fire, this is a very simple process but gets to the point across on adding more damage to the city. I then added the rose into Rei's hand to give the point across that they were the worlds only hope and failed. Finally the helicopters and the light post. I added the helicopters to give the "aftermath" of the war to end all wars finding survivors using my brain I added a little more rain to the spotlight being that when the light hits the rain it causes the eye to see it more clearly. Now the Street light was just a concept of adding to the city that came to a fact of giving the city more detail (adding the sparks from the DO NOT WALK/WALK light, and the dangling street light), I would of added a car or something but it just looked too cluttered. Anyway I hope you all have a very good 2006 and I wish for all the best for you! ^_^
