It's my first shot at making a wall. Although it's a bit basic, I'm still pleased with it.
Anywho, the other week I found out that XXXHolic is pronouced "Holic" leaving out the XXX's to replace whatever human addiction that takes your fancy. So for me it's... goggles. Just love 'em. Yep, I'm a freak OX But they feature in manga so often, that I figured why not do something with it. So here ya go; Himawari-Chan & Yuuko-San, the girls of xxxHolic in goggles XD
[Edit] Have changed it slightly in places as per various suggestios ~ i.e. the font & adding a signature, also cleaned up a few patches [/Edit]

Well for a first wall I really must say you have done one great work over here *nods*
And basically what really amazes me is that in your first you have mannaged to make an excellent scan extraction and an awesome blending with the BG, both texture and colorwise :D
Although this may appear as a "basic wall" as you refer to it, I can see some nice work over the BG, I don't know if you really used brushes, but it seems so and it looks really well done, with nice depth and texture. The transparent lines you added are a nice touch.
One thing though, yuriko-chan... you need to watermark your works :nya:
As I started this post, this is certainly an awesome first attempt at walling, so congratulations XD -

this is really really good for a first I must say...great brush work on the bg and colors.
the scan use some little work because of the jaggy edges but nice extracting non the less.
and again...great attempt for a first yuriko...well worth a fav -

Love the scan you chose. Your first wall? That's amazing for a first one*hides own crappy first wall*^^ I like how you colour coordinated. The backgorund effect looks pretty nice too!

Mostly what Revan said. It's really a great job for a first wall. Made a nice blending of the scan with the bg n it's pretty nice the texture you gave it. I love Yuuko~ xD n the scan is really nice. The only thing that I don't like that much is the font type. Maybe you could had used a more styled up one but that's up to everyone's liking.~
Pretty good for a first wall so keep at it n let us see more of your works~!

Hi siakusa XD (I will have to get used to it, but it might be hard at the very begining >.>) So, anyway since yesterday I wanted to download your very first wallie at once (meaning: the moment I noticed you actually uploaded it ^^) but I had problems with my connection and simply could not load anything >.< So, here I am, a bit late perhaps but ready to comment ^^

Me agrees whole heartedly ^^ It is certainly better and you definitely have more potential then me and other noobs at walling ^^; I cannot see any flaws with the extraction here, or with composition, or the choice of colors. At certain places the hair lines look a little bit shabby but I can see that this is the scan's fault really >.> The charas fit the bg very well, the blending is really nice and I love the textures used. Thye are kind of calming and soothing :D
So, really amazing work with your wall, I will expect some more great works from you from now on ^^

I think the wall is pretty good for your first try ^^ it is simple, but the warm colors are what attracts me to it, and I think overall the whole feel of the wall is pretty nice :) Kinda.. empty for my taste, but I think if it's crowded it would not look so good hehe..

Hey! I like this wall! I like the Orange colour and this originaly design...When I think about XXXholic,I think in dark first,but you have make a cool job with the orange ^^ Definitly one of my favorites! ;)
