I <3 Yuuko, so I simply had to make a wallpaper of her. I can't really say how I feel about how it turned out
though - I like it, but then again I don't. -_- Anyway, I'm posting it up anyway. Maybe someone would point
out what's so terribly wrong about it? >.<
Anyhow, I used Jashin's brushes for the background and stock from Getty Images and Boyis. The scan's from
MT.

[Edit] A friend gave me some comments here and there, so anyway, *points* the second version of the wall. -_- I... still don't know what's wrong with it. I think I overdid the white smoke. >.< If you want to see the old version, you can get the 800x600 version here. Bah. More criticism anyone?

truthfully, im really impressed with this work. lol you get points just for extracting her cause clamp works are definitley a pain to extract. i do see some extract issues around the rows of beads near wantanuki's hand. possibly the original bg was red?

You don't know what could be wrong with it? I dunno either. :x Unless some might find the BG doesn't match or it doesn't fit in well with the scan or they the same thing? o_O But then again. You usually do feel that way after using a stock. :\
i wouldn't know what to improve if that's the case you're seeing. But anyway, yea. Looks fine to me.

I really like the hat being gone from this version. It adds distance between the characters which is nice and it also emphasizes the hand being kissed more. The smoke does seem a little over done in this second version though..esspecially because I really like the way the tree limbs stood out behind Yuuko. Hmm..I really like the contrast, which, as others have said helps to make the image pop..if it's possible..playing with where the horizon of the image falls might make you like the background image more...it does seem like there is some minutely perceptible something that is making this seem less than perfect..but since no one can figure out what it is..go with the excellent wallpaper you already have! As an added note..I really like the text and the butterflies too. fantabulous job. definetaly added this to my underdevolped xxxholic wallpaper folder!

Wow, I love this...its really gorgeuos..I love your use of textures, it creates kind of a foggy, mystical effect which is perfect for the theme of this manga. Great job, keep it up!

I think it looks great! I don't think you need to adjust it. I personally feel that art is what you make it to be and it's up to everyone about how they interpret it and how it makes them feel. If you feel that it's good enough, then it's good enough. :) Great job!
