Just to let you know now, the guy on the left is me, and the one on the right is my brother. The inspiration for this piece came when I was looking around my closet for something to put together for this cosplay meet I was going to attend (in which I ended up not cosplaying :P). As I was rummaging through my wardrobe, I realised, I might as well take some poses in the camera to see how it will turn out. Upon reviewing the photos, I realised the lighting was just perfect for some of them and without a moments notice I proceeded to photoshop the picture.
After a while, I realised the picture was lacking something, especially to my left in the picture (ie. behind me). I covered that entire section with black, but it was no good. I tried to superimpose another friend's cosplay picture into it (he cosplayed Amarao from FLCL) which I took, back in Manifest 2004, and though it proved hilarious, the seaweed eyebrows and comical expression just didn't complement the rest of the picture.
So finally, I was forced to do the unthinkable. I asked my brother to pose. I'll never live that day down, but you know what, I reckon it was worth it. Add in some random fighting Japanese phrases and a woodcarve signature (completely random of course), and voila! Cheap Hong Kong style movie poster!
