Yeah, lots of other people have used this pic, but I wanted to try out a northern-lights tutorial I found, and I thought it would go well with our glamourous couple here. What do you guys think? Again, thanks for checking out a newbie's stuff!

I love the lights effect! :) Could you please tell me where you found this tutorial? I'd love to be able to do that effect, but am not sure how.

You may wanna work on the background, the sky isn't black, it's really dark blue (or whatever, play around with it :) )

That place has useful stuff, check it out :D

Hmm... I thought I set it to black... I guess I'll have to dig up the PSD file and check....

Anyway, thanks! Both for the comment and the link! As for the light effect, I got the tutorial from this site, or more specifically from here. Have fun!

No no, what I meant was that your sky IS black, but that's not the way the sky really looks, even at night. It's really really dark blues, or other colors if you feel creative, and the more stars that are clustered together make the sky around them appear a little lighter.

You can see what I'm talking about here: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/130556/ Though that's not entirely accurate, as I'm not too great with PSP.

And thank you soooo much for the links! :)

Ohhh... Okay! Thanks for clearing that up.

i think it looks fine in black, but I'l play around with some dark blues and see what I get. It's s'possed to be kinda stylized anyway...

But! I DO have a wallpaper that uses a much more realistic starfield. I'll put that up when I get the chance. Stay tuned...

Just do what you think looks best. ^_^ You shouldn't change something you're happy with. And the black looks fine with this picture, I guess if a starfield is the main focus or vital to the picture it'd have to look more realistic, but in this pic it works, and black DOES help the pretty lights stand out.
