Well this shows an improvement from when you were a noob. You should be proud of your success, now that you can better express your concepts on paper.

hahahaha...I know exactly how you feel...and then of course I felt lazy redoing the whole thing but anyways...Good work on the vector, I wish I would learn that trick and tag it to my own little box of techniques ^__^ maybe I'll have to suck on your brain one day ^_^' oh did I say that outloud? :x

You've certainly improved a lot. The backdrop and depth of the wall is really amazing. I like the sunset for some reason ... its so simple, yet it really sets a mood. Everything would be so quiet and peaceful if she wasn't pointing a gun at my face XD . I wonder what pissed her off so much. Heh, I'm currently going through the Noir series right now, and she doesn't typically get angry that easily ^_^' .

Good compositions as well. The placement of everything is done quite well. I think the text is fine where it is, it's noticable, yet doesn't detract your attention from the main parts of the wall, and fits quite nicely in the little eiffel (sp?) tower. There are some areas of the trees that look as if they could use some fine-tuning, but other than that, nothing too noticable. Overall, very stylish wall you have there.

Exelent job there mate! You say you've done a bad job on though. I think your'e being a bit hard on yourself. From what I can tell from the thumbnail you've done a great job. Keep up the good work.

This is a very beautiful wall!! I love the sunset tone in the background, making the landscape look shadowed. Its very captivating! You did such a great job! Thanks for sharing! :D

If the scan could have been in higher quality, then it would have really looked a whole lot better, over here, nonetheless.

Anyways, what can I say? This wallpaper looks pretty decent altogether, no doubt, but not too overwhelming, of course. **Nods** While the empty bright colors in the sky fitted with the withered trees in the background both clearly compliment one another, I did hope that the Paris structure would be a little more crisp in detail, but considering the brightness of the sky, and the darkened structure from aside, it kind of lacked that extra kicker that could definitely make it look fantastic. But really, I still like the concept and the idea of the image over there, and it still looked great to me, nonetheless, so I'm not complaining here, of course. lol

Definite highlights? The horizon. I just couldn't help but stare at it while glimpsing at the wallpaper as a whole over here. The background just looks so surreal - but at the same time, it has this realistic view that I really do like to watch over from time to time. It's very high quality, good effort put into making the clouds and the sorts. I have nothing to say about the horizon but a simple - wow. Good show. Truly realistic! That background on the horizon clearly is one of the best I've seen from your works, aside from the others so far, of course. Well, good going!

If only the character of the scan and the structure was clearly sharper and of higher quality, this wallpaper would have definitely had a full thumbs up, nonetheless. Nice work.

lol, Kai, take it easy ... This is truly a fantastic wallpaper! I'm a major sucker for sunset wallpapers, the tones are just lovely ... The character doesn't fit exactly perfect, but everything else is so nice, and it's Noir, one of my favourites, good job!

  15. Hikaruu May 13, 2005

Kai, I just wanted to tell you that this wallpaper is lovely ^_^ The eiffel tower in the background is a wonderful idea, and everything goes together so well!! I've never watched noir, sadly, but I've heard of it. ^_^ Wonderful wallpaper! I love it

With the outline on the inner lines of the face and not on the outside of the face, it seems pretty awkward that way. I think that maybe you should add the outline to the edges of the hair. Also, the scan is a bit grainy, and you can use the same method of improving the quality of the extraction as I previously noted. The background is quite nice though. Keep up the good work.
