Woot. Ok first off I'd like to thank all the people at Minitokyo's IRC channel who gave me suggestions, tips and comments on this wallpaper during its work in progress :).
To the wallie: well you can see it, it's a very cliche one with a scenery background and a cutie... the funny thing is that when I started drawing this it was very different and it had a total different scan, so it really went through a lot of retouching and re-editing XD. Everything has been drawn (sky, clouds, trees, wall) while the bench was re-traced and re-cged from a stock photo.
Last some info for the nerds XD: 63 layers, and about 12 total hours spent in 2 days.

[Edit] following everybody's input I've worked more on the girl and managed to remove the azure glow,
I've also retouched her hair to blend it better.

... Oh... sorry about that... You know I just couldn't resist... lol ...Maybe I should find some image of Anakin Skywalker and put it here... lol... Oh.. okay ... I will stop it now... lol... At least I try... lol ...... Well... What can I say... :D ... It's a great work... I mean... As far as I can see the sky and trees are just perfect... :worship: ...You did a amazing job with them... :) ... I like also the detail that you aplied on type ... It gave a really nice effect... :) ... I'm just not so sure about the birds... They look too much close for me... But then I have no idea on how real birds behave... :) ... So no problem... :) Oh... The wall and the bench look so neat too... I really the texture on the wall... It gives it a more realistc look... very cool... and the bench... Damn... I have to learn how to do the cel-shading look... :D ... About the scan... I don't have much to say... I'm no expert on it... I wonder why no one uses the PS extract tool... :shrug: ... Great job. Marvelous. Brilliant. Original scenic art, now that's what I want to see. No planet, no tree in the distance and no grass. I thought that it was a stock bg, but apon closer inspection I could see key PS elements in there. Not that that's a bad thing.
The texture on the railing is BRILLIANT!!!! You couldn't do a better job on those, I swear! The clouds look great and so do the birds (if lacking minor detail). The tree however, looks plastic. I know it really can't be helped, but when it's that close, you should be able to see the veins on the leaves.. I think I can see them on the ones in the foreground.. but it's too hard to tell, they're not light/dark enough. The bark on the branches are a little too bright too.
Anyway, it still kicks some serious bee-hind. Great job.

Shinn this turned out so awesome! I never expected you to use that scan, it fits so perfectly! And the clouds, I must say, adore completely..^_^* I'm a sucker for clouds lol. And the tree, looks really good, lol the branches and leaves I should say though. The wall looks really good as well. The bench does looks alot better. Scan fits so perfectly. Excellent work!

The extraction and cleaning of scan could be a touch better but I think you already did a pretty good job on cleaning the scan since I have the original on my comp and know how much cleaning it needed o_O ahh the hair blends nicely! But maybe the hat, ribbon on the hat and her arm need a bit retouching?

Gorgeous! The scan needs a bit of a touch up though, very slightly so it doesn't effect it much.. gosh I love the background and scene, nice work! *applauds and throws confetti* congrats on making a beautiful wallpaper~
