It isn't that good, I was basically trying things out and just seeing how Photoshop works. I decided to share though, considering that this is my first, and I like the image.
It took me a little while to get it finished, as I am really new to this.
There are five layers, so it is rather simply done. I hope to get better, with time. Thank you.

First submission?! It's good good for just getting used to photoshop (I should know, I had the same getting used to!)

I hope that maybe you can take my critcism and improve greatly! ^^ no worries, huh?
Extraction is good - although you may need to try and blend the scanned image in with the background a little more especially around the hair. I'm figuring that either the extraction round the hair was a little rushed (which can be reachieved by taking your time and cutting slowly) or perhaps its cut correctly and it just isn't suiting the background...so it looks bright white. Try a few blending techniques, or some of the tutorials and I'm sure that would look great.

Colours are certainly different, reminds me of coffee mornings and cups of tea! Nice blending, and lovely use of different tones and shades, it has a nice effect, and really complements the girls clothes.

Writing is nicely done, but maybe a little too much of it ^^" but maybe thats me personally, because I can already be quite picky with words! Nice theme to the words, and nice font used. Nice colour, not too black! ^^

Keep up the good work, I'm sure you will become excellent with time! Learn from others and others will gladly learn from you!

    Thank you for submitting it,
    Stolen-chan

nice wallie but needs some work
you did a great job on the image but they dont blend well
the bg has nice colors but its a bit plain
you should either go with the text on top or text on the left...both is too much

but your right though...5 layers is very simple so next time add some more to it
and it should look better or more complex

other than that this a pretty good for a first time around ^_~

Nice bg, but the scan need to be blurred a little on the hair's edge to make it blend with the bg ^^ ....and I'm not a big fan of using text either...^^' instead of the text, maybe you can try using random leaf or flower brushes, preferably with a nice autumn colors to match the bg and scan :D

Pretty good for a start ^_^
Your background's a little plain but as you learn more techniques, you'll be able to make better backgrounds.
Like the above people said, spend more time on the extraction to ensure absolutely no evidence of the original background can be seen. imanimetions has some great tutorials on extraction.
You're off to a good start! Keep it up!

hey T!! Well, it's not like I didn't know this was coming but it's still really nice!!
I mean you did a beautiful job with this, and it's your first time on Photoshop! (mines really sucked when I did my first P.S. wall....still do) -lol-
The quote..it's beautiful if I don't say so myself...
The only real thing i notice that's a little odd is the extraction on the guys hair. But all in all I've got to say this is really great work and I'm adding it to my favs.

    Pretty pretty,
Very nice for first time photo-shop user ^-^. (I didnt use it <_< I cheated XD, Paint!)
But yeah....some parts need to be blended and you should put on some brushes.
Make you wallpapers come out really nice.
Like, they have some really great brush sites, here...
The text looks a litte strange though <_< weird...
But I still like it, great job!!

I like the simplicity and the choice of the scans. The bg color matches their hair and gives a down to earth feel. Some edges of the scan stick out a little but it's hard to extract, isn't it? ^_^ Try to blend it a lil into the bg and it should take the edge off. Nice wordings~

This is a very good first! I remember my first wallpaper - didn't know about maks, paths or selections, so spent nearly twelve hours extracting an image using ONLY the eraser tool. -_- And the result was not very nice

Well, anyway. I like this. The colors are beautiful and pleasing, and I actually prefer simple backgrounds. I don't usually like text on wallpapers, so there's a bit too much text for my taste. But overall, this is quite good. I'm looking forward to future stuff from you ^_^

Tirdaelyn!! That's sooooo lovely~ I just adore that font, heh. I'm glad to see walls from you too. I think the placement of everything, like the picture and the words, are all very well done. The background matches great too.

Hey~~~~ Make one of pretty pretty Jibrille! She needs to be appreciated more, always being overshadowed by Sara...But, I like Sara too, just not as much.
