Since "ume" is either "plum blossom" or "fate" depending on the kanji, I thought this [url="http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/73710/"]scan [/url]from Leaf of an SDK drama CD could give me an opporunity to make a pun. (>.<) Or maybe not, I was kind of hyper when I fixated on the idea of making a pun in another language.
I also had to create six different brushes to get the plum blossoms down, which was interesting...

Very good composition, especially the tree and petals ^^ What a little off is the river, I assume the whole scene is in daylight, so the river has to be in a lighter color ^^ but if it's nightscene (there's moon reflection, rite?) the scan and petals have to be darkened a little ^^

have to agree, the rivr looks a bit too dark and the line between the grass and the water needs a little soil Apart from that it looks great! ;)

Amazing details in the bg. You have a real talent for that. You did great on the perspective and the cherry blossoms really worked out. ^-^ The ripples and the reflection in the water is really good and I would've missed it if I wasn't looking too closely. Superb stuff~
