Wallpaper #7 !
Title: Valhalla. Okok, brief story about it: I was simply browsing the scan here at MT and came across this one by the CLAMP, coincidence was that I was listening to a song by Blind Guardian called "Valhalla" so I ended up making a wall on this cutie with that as a title ^^.
It's the first time that I try making some serious starfields and planets, making it multicoloured so that it wouldn't be too boring to watch ^^. And now to the "stones". I'm pretty sure most of you have recognized it, yes it's Stonehenge, I got the stock photo from www.sxc.hu and I manipulated it a lot to change the colours and to cell-shade it a few times to make it look "toony". The rest was brushing and brushing (mist, blossoms, sparkles etc).

[Edit] following everybody's suggestion I've retouched both stones and scan a bit to make them blend better. Thanks for the input guys!

This is a nice wallpaper. The backround goes with the scan quite well, it all goes together nicely. The stars are niice, I love them. Though the planet with the ring around it could probably go. The rocks and petals look nice, and alittle strange, but still they look good. The planet on the top right looks pretty good, with the sun like star coming from behind it. Overall, this is some nice work! I love the scan to, Clamp has nice art work. Keep up the good work!

New Shinn work,well,i like the title,and the scan,like bromithia says,clamp has some really nice art work,the starfield is awesome,i like the path that u make on it,the sparkles around here looks great,for some reason they give a more fantasy theme to the scan.
The petals for me seems odd,but they look good(i think that something is missing with them),and also the rocks have some color points,i dont know if this is fault of my monitor or is the wall. And maybe try with another font n.nU,jajajaja,everything looks great,but,you can make it look awesome

The pilars are really really cool and I love the character in the wallie (I wish I knew who it was -__-;;) Anyways, you know I'm adding this to my favs and it's gonna be my desktop wallie for while too!! excellent work! wow i am awed by the landscapes you made oO they are amazing! really like the stonehenge and the red sky, makes a dramatic effect =D shadows and all the small details are what makes this wall great. awesome job! +fav

Now, this is what I'm talking about ... a wallpaper containing a starfeild setting that actually has a unique concept ;) . Generally space geared walls are futuristic, but I see you have taken his wall back to deeper roots. The medievil theme really workd well with the bg (although I think stonehenge is much older...). The red color theme is also a nice contrast to usual space scenes that consist of blue or purple hues.
The planets are also done quite well and help balance the left side from the girl. I happen to think the rings around the smaller planet look quite awesome. A blue sun is also an interesting touch. The fog adds a much need ambience to the mood of the scene and gives the wallpaper more depth. The work you've done on the stonehenge image is also pulled off well ... I do that too with turning photos into anime styling and know it can be diffilcult, but you've managed to do this quite well ^_^' . And now ... I'm done typing.

That's cool you really try different kind of wall.
The colors are nice and I like the background with the stones.
And the petals on the floor, that's a nice touch.
But your background more blurry contrast with the scan more clean and sharp.
Maybe you should look at that, anyway it's a nice looking wall :)

Amazing wall. I think the stonehenge could be smoothed out a little more, but otherwise the background is just perfect. I also think the scan doesn't fit in with the background. I don't know why but they just don't seem to match. However, it's very well-made and you can excuse my odd opinions ^_^

You're always making bg that different than the mainstream here ^^ The stone need more filter work to make it blends more into the whole 'anime' style wall, but the rest of the bg are awesome! Colors combination are good, and use a little gaussian blur on the scan will help it blends more into the bg ^^ or vic versa --> sharpen the bg ^^

is not that its bad is just i dont know i didnt like the colors u used i think there's too much red and the stonehedge i think it doesnt fit... well i dont know
the starfield is great and the planets and the lightning are great
the fog is great too

Ohhh, so beautiful. I luv it. Everything goes so well together. The starfield is excellent, wish I could make stars look that nice. I also like the touch of sparkles. This wall is definitely one of my favs. Thanxs.
