I tried to combine old machenery look with some new communication symbols like binary texture and matrix font to represent the fear of technology for the i-net kids and middleaged ppl as one... hope that makes sense...

Enjoy and reflect...

Hoooooo? Seems like you have the technology thing in your head. Could it be that you are going all out to defeat me?? haha, I guess that means I must also give my all. I like the image used here. Compositionally and aesthetically, it is very interesting. That dark area in the lower left part of the wall was a great choice to put the font. The treatment of the font is also top notch. Fits very well with everything. I kinda want to see it a little larger though, to fill the dark area a little more. Just a little. The color (kinda like rust or aged paper) adds to the feel i'm sure you were striving for.

Looks like i have my work cut out for me. Great job DC!

this is godly, love the whole cyberpunk/industrial thing goin on with the retrotechnology and such. haah which reminds me, i need to submit my NIN wall, ill go do that now......

I agree with Crpamonster - that wallie rwminds me of Nine Ich Nails, Closer and Happiness in Slavery (although it's not as savage as the later) in particular. The coloring and strange, brooding machinery that looks so mysterious yet those tubes and scopes create a sense of out-dated Babbage machiner. Somewhat steam-punk in feeling, the rust and victorian like design meet the hi-tech. I like the idea of writing about the fear of technolgy in l33t - that makes the statement a bit of paradox and is thought-procoking. Great concept and good job. Thank you for your work.

This wallpaper kinda reminds me of the Industrial Era back in the 1920s, I think! XD Anyhoo, it's clever that U used binary all over the mechanical parts, sorta gives that old school tech vibe nicely! Also, the colors have that old rusty feeling I think U was going for like artgeek says on his post! Anyhoo, I might not be as much as an critic as those pro wallers, but I think you're skills and contributions in MT are critically acclaimed! :)

Love the unique text because it has a decent and cybertechy feel to it which makes this wall a must to see...And technology today becomes such a fearful thing to be aware of but it sometimes has its good points...Great job asa always mate!

I do indeed enjoy your use of sepia to give things that particularly aged grunge effect. It's a good choice and I think very effective too. I'm guessing that image is all one photo right? Or did you actually combine multiple piece to get that one?

Either way, I think the message comes across, though not entirely clearly as I didn't realize just what you were doing until I read the description :P. Still very atmospheric as always!

Naw meh..if you really want tech style.
    Just head to....TechnoPhreak.
well anyway, its not unqie i guess.
its just grabing bunch of images of machince parts and putting them together.
then changeing the colors, add some borader lines.
Its almost like Copy and paste, but it does show off a bit of mood.
You could of done better then this.

I don't really know why, but this wallpaper reminded me of 'Das Boot' by Wolfgang Petersen. I think it was because he had similar claustrophobic shots at machinery in his film...

Man DC everytime I see your work you're always exploring new types of walls which is refreshing since I'm finding a lot of the cookie cutter walls to be pretty stale nowadays i.e. the typical space, nature, and night time walls.
As for the wall, I love the concept but I feel that the over use of filters on the machinery kind of hurt the quality of the wall. You did a nice job in capturing that direction you had mentioned in your description though. Keep pushing forward in new artistic directions bud :)
