I was going through my folder of scans the other day and stumbled across this REALLY pretty image of Belldandy from Ah! Megami Sama. It needed some fixing up, but the image had alot of potential. I put on my work gloves a few days later and decided to play with the image.

After fideling with the Photoshop Filters, I came to the conclusion that the image was only going to become properly cleaned if I re-CG'd the entire thing. The quality was as if the person who scanned it, had blown up the image to accomodate a large scan size. And the entire image itself had this nasty Tan color filter. 6 Hours later the image was finished. Now what to do with it?
I decided I wanted clouds, some planets/moons, and pastel colors in the background. From there I set the base background, set aside the project, then came back to add details. This is the end result! Its my first wallpaper in a while, so I hope I'm not too rusty. I'm just so happy to have Photoshop back ^_^

Phew, you really worked hard on this wall and it shows. Belldandy looks so gorgeous in this wallpaper. Background is also nicely done with soft touches of clouds, birds and planets. If you're rusty here then I really don't see it. Good job and thanks much for sharing your work here.

its a pretty wallpaper with a beautiful feeling. the colors are perfect and ur scan cleaning was also really good although i think u should work the scan more into the background. another point of critic is the typo u used i dont know :3 doesnt fit its to lighty XD;
but i really hope that this will get in the top five and will kick the other crap of walls out of that list :3 u have done a really good work overall , simple , fluffy and good

I definitely have to agree with wus. Again, the blending of colors is just superb and it gives me a nice heavenly feeling! It's a unique way of presenting a planet-filled sky with lots of puffy clouds which make it so magical for my eyes!
This perspective is just amazing! I hope, too, that this will reach the fav submissions. Well, the typography could use more editing though... like say... a classic-looking script font or a simple yet elegant Times New Roman or other font with a diagonally-positioned feather at the end of the text.

Indeed if you didn't show the original scan to us, i would expect that you have drawn it.
So that your cleanning was really efficient and the background gives another dimension to you ART.So thank you for your good job :)

It's a beautiful Belldandy wall. I'm more used to look at Belldandy with her blue/white goddess clothes, and the one she has fit very well. Added to my favorites, great job. =)

I like the effects in this wallpaper. However, it looks a little too bright on the left side, but I suppose this is what you wanted. Good job otherwise.
