I like the scan you used, seems quite appropriate for the image - she already has a nice dark image about her even though she looks friendly. There's something quite dark mage about this wallpaper, so at least its themed.
The stars are cool as well, they don't seem to be in your face, so nicely subtle and fit in with the magical theme of all mages! The writing seems cool, and appropriate. Maybe a border would be nice, but otherwise its a nice submission.
