Fifth Wallpaper! Allright, this is a tribute to my most favourite band: the Iron
Maiden. For those who know this group, you'll recognize the title, it's one of
their songs. This one in particular it's probably the one that I like the most,
so I decided that I could try to make a wallpaper based on it 
and this
is what I did: a rainy scenery with a man (the rainmaker) full of sadness,
alone. The guy is Tristan from War of Genesis, I picked him on purpose because
of his gloomy look, which fitted the idea I had in mind.
The background was again the hardest part of the wall, the lower part with rocks
was realized with cell-shading and multiple blendings and clone brush from a
stock photo to get a toony effect. The dark sky was entirely draw from scratch
as well as the rain. Last touch was the fog and some airbrushing followed by
fairydust, prolly the easiest part of the wallie .
For those who really wish to get in the mood of this wallie I'll post the lyrics
of the song (it's suggested that you listen to the song as well of course 
):

[EDIT] I removed the outer glow and desaturated the guy a bit
[EDIT2] I've followed Muz's and Asahi's tips, removed the grey hill from the
left and retouched other small issues.

love your toon shading, but what that grey thing in the bg is? i dont like it
(as well as the outer glow).
edit: the char is bit too saturated too
mmh.. i dont like the position of the text on the wall - its to high.. bring it more the the middle of the wp high

the rest is good work. only this some thing arnt - but this is personal maybe.. ^^ in my eyes you have captured the theme of the wp very well !!

I really like it.
The rain is beautiful, I'm a fan of rainy wallpaper
The sky is well done and fit with everything else, it looks real.
And the mountains are well integrate with the effects you put on them. It's just the line that separate them with the sky that look too strong.
Hope my english is not too bad
Oh and I really like the writing too.

The only critiqe I have is that the character looks a bit out of the wall, the rain is infront of the scan, but the wall looks quite foggy in places and that fog does not cover the scan. I think that is also what is getting some people on the rocks, the fog seems to distort the depth some.

Ahh!! Shinn-sama! Sorry I posted so late but, excellent wallie!! I love the Iron Maiden and I think the name goes great with the wallpaper! Great use of w.o.g charas again! The clouds and the rain are simply stunning. I also like the glowy-ness coming from Tristan's hand! I won't even try to critique cuz I probably don't even know what I'm talking about haha. I wish I could make backgrounds like yours

Wow... nice ShiNN84... Haven't seen this on before...
I just don't like too much the right side after the character... for me it just looks a little plain... But then... I don't know nothing about landscapes...
