Another throwaway wallpaper.
I was browsing series scans for absolutely no reason at all, and found a pair of
scans by Ace in the Big O section. A little stitching together, some dark noise
and brushwork, and a title later, we have this wallpaper. I just really liked
the city background with its tall skyscrapers, the dome, and whatnot.
I was aiming for a dirty film-print, film-noir feel for the image. It's purple
because, uh, that's the color of Big O itself... Hm, that's right, the original
background had a bit of a purplish tint to it so I kept it.
The title comes from a track on the Big O drama CD, "Brick Ballades"
which is the saxophone, jazzier version of "Apologize" from the first
soundtrack. I had fun relistening to my Big O mp3s (minus the drama tracks) and
remembering how lovely and soulful the piano pieces were.

Wow the big O is such a remake wally series to make cos of its classic quality and because no one has ever walled this too much but i love it.... The textures and filmsrip movement suites this all together and the purple is beautiful!

oh, it's a nice wallpaper! The textures are great, there are hardly any Big O walls out there and it's a pretty good series. The scan of Rojer and Angel is really nice, I really like their pose. Great job, I really like it.

The
series is sooo underrated, and Roger Smith, Dorothy, and Angel are such great
leading characters! Anyhoo, I like how you added teh films stripes on the BG,
it cleverly signifies what Big-O is really all about! Also, the grainyness of
the BG also creates the illusion of a film noir movie oh so nicely!

I really dig the old city style bg and the fog/smoke coming off the ground, it gives off an eerie mood. Makes me want to go watch Big O again

I hate Big O--hate it hate it hateithatehatehate--but your wall is too nice to ignore. It makes the second Big O wall I've downloaded, and that's out of over 2000 in my collection overall!
