Ladies and gentlemen, this is my first wallpaper I've ever made!) You could call it a first attempt though I really did my best to make it look as better as possible :)
I came up with the idea of a wallpaper inspired to an idillic olympus while I was browsing some of my old photos during an holiday trip to Greece where I've been a few years ago... then I started looking for a good character that would fit this kind of setting, and after some browsing in the Minitokyo galleries I found Hikaru's scan (much credit to Marissa for uploading it), and I thought she would make a perfect protagonist for my wallpaper since she's dressed like a goddess :D
The background is almost entirely brushed and made by me except for the greek temple on the left, which comes from a photo from stock.xchng that I manipulated to give it a cell-shaded effect.
So... I hope you like it! :)
[Edit] I've removed the foggy effect over the sword which was kinda disturbing, and I retouched the left corner of
the grassfield.
[Edit2]I've darkened the upper part of the sky/starfield, and gave last retouch to the grass. :)

That's right, it's a good Wall. Just one thing.. The cloud seems to be on the character (top of the subject). It will be better if you set back The cloud frame .

Really your first wallie, hm ! I'm impressed! I think you made a beautiful sky but maby that it would look better if it was a little darker (cause you can see stars)
And one more thing! Those four large grass strands to the left of the picture.......please remove them! (I find them kinda Disturbing! Gomen!) OX I think it would look much better without them) Keep up the goodwork Shinn! :) -

hey, not bad for ur first wallie. great job! but i think it would be better if the grass wasn't so...green? ok, that sounded wrong. what i meant was, it would be better if the color of the grass is darker, but make the grass around hikaru lighter since she seems to be glowing, in which i find to be a tad bit too bright. but that's okay, since u say that she looks like a goddess/is a goddess in ur wall. sorry if i offended u or anything, but i must admit, u did quite well on ur first wallie. hope to see more from u soon. ^_^

r u sure dis is ur 1st wallpaper? it looks absolutely gorgeous! the planet n the stars look so nice....plus the ancient background goes very well with hikaru's outfit...the butterflies look nice too! great job!
