simple indeed ^^.
It's good to start nice and simple then u expand ^^the bg has nice effect and softness to it, the scan is nice , i like the monotone in it.
Perhaps u can enhanced the composition using monochromatic approach?
Adding more elements on your next wall, will also add more excitement to it.Overall nice star. keep it up

nice wallpaper, i like this picture of meroko. and the pink color you used for the chara is allso nice it suits the chara. the background looks very bright.
btw. my favorite chara from fws is also meroko ^_^ -

for a first wall it looks great! i luv it, and its pink too. pink is not my fave colour but it makes it.....it..it...i dunno i can't explain it. well anyways u did a wonderful job. i would give it a 10 out of 10. i luv sooo much i'm going to add it to my faves
