Hey Asahi :>
First I'll need to find a way of how to put this ...
But before that I've got a comment on your work in general - what is it that drives you to create one wallpaper after
another for which the most are of brilliant quality in terms of context and looks D: ?
That's a question I had in mind for quite a long time, an answer to that would kinda be nice ^^
Okay, well I think that the words which were needed of how to put this and or more, well, likely these thoughts into
words so here we go.
While the order of commenting this time changes from one into another part, I hope you'll still get what I'm tryin' to
say (please do o.o!)
The scan / artwork that has been used for this one looks good - for how it was drawn and edited (I guess you did some editing on her ^^). The more I look at her the more I get to be reminded of someone special (or to put it straight : that back looks familiar <.< ), anyway the editing and extraction both are impressively done to me ; thumbs up!
The background ,forcing me to look at it, not because of its strange and ,for your style, unfamilar design - more of how
the colors look relaxing (seriously) to the eye- nothing agressive or too bright / less contrasted there to be found.
Using my imagination I can guess pretty much of what lies behind the visual blur that is put into the viewers eyes
through the use of crumpled paperlike colorbarriers - sad on the other side, later on I'll explain why I think that this
is a sad point as well, so far still even more appealing to me.
The one looking at it , with attention of course, gets the sad and certain feeling of something being hidden underneath
this barrier of sight we get - something which is definitely NOT friendly for either the girl or anyone else in that
"world".
As far as it goes for the typo(textual/lyrical) part, it's being the cause of the viewers' thoughts gettin' drawn into
another dimension ~ related to the previously commented elements it makes a difference whether you read those two lines
of text or not ; whichever you choose - it alters ones view and or liking of this wallpaper.
For myself - it's given me a strength to find the way out of the everydays' stressing nightmare of allday-life ;) Taking
a break from everything, just trying to escape into a more relaxing world of mine.
Back to what I mentioned earlier about the grunge elements of the background :
They are as far as I can think, depending on how much you (the viewer) want to get into this and let yourself be one
with the elements of this wp, the most advanced statement of understatement-poetry that I've seen here lately.
Capturing the girl into a world of crumpled thoughts, dreams and distracted views and alterations of her known reality -
even though if she would want to fight her way out of it /or find it : she seems to be unable to do so.
Chained to her sword means that shes defenseless to whatever comes right up to face her ,whether that might be evil or
good - both things can be dangerous depending on the situation and state-of-mind she is in.
Her thoughts at this point might be desperate since shes facing a lake which she might not be able to pass through since
her hands are chained...
Asahi, really, thank you for dedicating/having created this wallpaper for me.
Not that it only means a lot to me, it's not the fact im commenting this one at such an extent for only that reason, I
definitely like it - I really do.
Keep up with your work dear, *hugs*
