It's been a while since I did my last indoor-scene wallpaper....
now, I've got the real mood to do this, and fortunately I got this sweet
scan of Spike and Julia...

Everything you see in this wallpaper (wooden textures, table, window, etc) is entirely self-made using Photoshop 7.0,
mostly featuring the usage of the pen tool and my faithful optical mouse (no 3D softwares/renders, and whatsoever
involved), mostly modelled using references of stock images but only for the candle, the pistol, and the rosary...

sorry for the simplistic and minimalistic look, but that's the actual scene I had in mind from the
start...

About time someone did something good with that scan. Nice job, but I must point out, as nit picky as it may be, that the ammo depicted is way too long for that or most any pistol since its longer than that grip it would have to feed through. Also, the bullets are too pointy. A 1911 type pistol such as that would normally use a .45 ACP cartridge which has a very round bullet. http://www.sightm1911.com/images/ammo_icons.jpg

Whoa, all this (except the scan and other stuff pointed out) done by you? That's really impressive.
The table surface does look a bit out of touch compared to the floor boards (which are excellent). Probably because it's too highly contrasted in the texture that it looks like a 3D render than drawn. It could do with a bit of softening and aging.
The placement of the window and the night scene outside matches well the position of the lovers. The candle is placed well. However I think the light source could do with changing it to a yellowish tone like a real candle would be. Right now the white lighting makes it look like an electrical xenon candle XP It would mean casting a yellowish tone all over the characters too and would likely lend a softer tone to the whole scene.

everything looks nice, the chair and the table and the bakcgrounds behind blend in smoothly and i love the effect of the flame and the lighting of the candle :D, except the big black square thingies on the right hand side behind, looks strange, or is it just me?
anyway, as expected, a great wallie from Korg-san :D

By first look, the overall atmosphere of the wallpaper seems fitting for the occasion. ;) The flare of the candle and the darkness of the window seem to complement each other well; it seems to bring attention to the situation between the two and their "romance". Very well done. :D
