I like the wole idea, lone mage in the wilderness. The grayish tones of the bg caontrast with the character, and put a good focus on her. Good usage of colours and the chara design is lovely. Great work. Waiting to see more from you.

It is a good job considering the character design is done personally instead of being extracted from a scan. However the contrast of the Geiger-eisque background seems too muted compared to the contrast of the dark mage. Perhaps enhancing the contrast of the background will do good. The spokes at her back seem to be too undetailed too if it is part of her equipment.

Sweet pic. Love the mage, very nicely done. The Bg contributes a lot to the overall image, but the character is what makes it stand out!
