Artist Comment
Does not compare to my previous 2 walls, but you get that sometimes. I always wanted to this wall, but didn't have the confidence in my scenic bg skills before (thinks back to Alone on a Cliff....).
The character has undergone some pretty intense extraction procedures (in my books anyway.. I normally don't go this far but I generally will from now on). After extraction, the shading was smothed out to have a progressive shade, not blocked. Then the characters costume changed from blue armour, pink material to brown armour, green material for a cammo effect. The character's black outline was then too noticable, so then it was removed too.
I had to make a new twig brush for the wall ( T_T ), but the scrub that was used in Mist Ward has how guest starred as the background trees. Also a normal oval brush was used for the leaves in the foreground tree. Once again, the bark was a texture from my tecture pack. The shadow effect that was used on the character was done by the same brush as the leaves, over 3 different layers.
All in all, 15 hours of work, 25 layers.
Edit
I completely redid the foreground tree now. I created a new leaf brush for it, and did more with the twig brush this
time. Also, my mother bluntly pointed out that the knee that sticks out looks like a wiener.

lol - I wouldn't have to say this - but you used the blur effects pretty well - and it seems the character is so hard to see from within her secret hideout, but I couldn't tell the difference - it's all about the wall as a whole, right? Not the character. She blends in very well with the shadow - great job making it look super cool.
Err... about the leaves though on the branch... well, it looks like a couple oval shapes slapped altogether - and I thought they were real til I checked them up close @_@
Other than that, wonderful job Katzbalger

the twig is really good =) great job =)
the shadows on the character are nice also ^^
but I think the trees on the back could be more sharper......for me the trees in the back are some too blurry .......
well...a really really nice wallpaper ^^

Yea, the leaves (especially in contrast with that bark) look kinda strange. X3 Though I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell doing it any better, so you can ignore that comment from me.
Nice work with the extraction! The effort with it is evident. :) And good call with the colour changes, too~<3 She blends in very nicely.
The bird.. my logic says it should be as blurred as the tress in the bg, but I like the fact that it is sharp instead. It draws the eye and gives a kind of balance to the girl's figure. Well done!

i like this wall / this wal is great by using harmonious colors with the characters. don't know what tosa but i believe this is one of the great walls in this web . thx for sharing your excellent work

Wow, katz - that is possibly the best rendering of camoflauge I have ever seen. It sounds like you went thru a great deal of effort, but I for one think it paid off big time. Thanks for sharing this image with us!... :D
