for those who havent seen this original scan, its from this month's edition of newtype and i suggest you go look at it
and bask in its glory!! i saw this at kinokuniya and i was almost tempted to buy it just for this single pic.
anyways, i loved this pic so much that i wanted to do something with it and walling it was a difficult thing for me.
first of all, the picture is already perfect as is and would also be impossible to recg some parts to make it wall size.
so that is one main reason why it is a widescreen type thing. also, the scene depicted was already so beautiful that i
didnt want to do anything to it except a little cleanup. well so anyways, i decided i might as well just do whatever i
feel with this one and not take it too seriously so i did a grunge wall on it.
the difficult thing about grunge with this pic was that i wanted the flowerfield to still show through. i spent quite a
long time tweaking it just right so that it is still evident (hopefully) that they are in one. also, i always loved the
movie feel of this series so i added the film patterns from brushes i got from here:

finally, i just like to say that metal gear is one of the greatest game series ever made imo and mgs3 doesnt fall short. its a fricking amazing game. hideo kojima is seriously a god!!

It was a good choice to go with the film strip because having played every Metal Gear game....yes even that crappy as #2 for the NES. It really has grown into a franchise that feels just as cinematic as any real movie. I think this wall is awsome because:
- it's simple
- it catches the movie feel of a final showdown with two enemies facing each other
- the grunge is a nice texture (camo feel like in the game)
- it looks like a widescreen format (movie thing again XP )All in all, this wall is one of my top favs!

That's a very unique wallpaper you made, to state the least.
I doubt I will put it on my desktop, though, this orange green looks quite a bit too surreal and some people could ask me, if my monitor is broken. -

I honestly cannot believe how little of attention this wall has recieved. >.> When I first saw this I was like "I look foward to seeing this wall on the top six for the gallery" and I can't believe it :_:. First off I have to state that you've really sparked my interest lately with the style of backgrounds you've been doing. Just a completely unique idea and they not only really pull me in, but I'm hooked and bedazzled. Alright first off, the film strip idea, where on Earth did you come up with that? Its perfect. Espically the crumbled part and just looks so realistic. That really caught my eye. Second was the choice of what you used for the image. Wow that is seriously one hell of a picture of Solid. I truly have to tip my hat to you for this overall because this is nothing short of stunning in my opinion and I absolutely love this idea. Favorite hands down, no questions asked.
