This is an original Sadamoto drawing from '95. Takeshi Honda's got nothin to do with it.

U're totally wrong, first of all Sadamoto signs his works with a Y.S. moreover an expert eye can see the Honda style (Main animator and animation director of the 2nd, 8th and 19th episode of the series). Sadamoto worked on the setting material and the manga of Eva. -

First of all, that's a totally bullshit argument about the way Sadamoto signs things; this is clearly not a directly-scanned page from an artbook. The background has been cleaned. Secondly, Sadamoto did not just work on the "setting material." The fact that you think that you're an "expert" and you make such an ignorant claim is very telling. Sadamoto was the character designer, and also did animation direction of an episode and undoubtedly did key animation on most episodes. The fact that you did not know this, and that you claim to have an "expert eye," is hilarious. Honda's Asuka designs are from the rebuild movies, and look nothing like this image at all.Do some reading. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=49

I'm sorry but I scan this from the official groundwork movie artbook vol.1 where is also claimed Takeshi Honda as the author of the illustration.
It's unfortune that you can't see the difference between design styles but showing arrogance instead of admitting your ignorance makes useless to keep arguing any longer.
