Holy crap a highlight?! Thank you so much for the honor, I haven't seen one of those in such a long time haha. Takes me back :)
This show, is like a fine piece of art, and for that I wanted to make a piece of my own to show you how inspired the show has done for me. Finally being able to do grassfields felt really good, it took me awhile to figure it out but thanks to some tutorials and stumbling onto something faster I was able to make this. Probably one of my best so far and looking at this every time gives me chills, I think the ending song for Violet Evergarden helped with that. Violet's scan was from the poster and it was perfect for this work (which is here: https://images.justwatch.com/poster/39456301/s592/violet-evergarden). What a skillfully executed work! The dark colors evoke gloom and loneliness, yet the aurora boreails gives it a boost of color and a touch of magic and mystery. The color palette fits the night scene perfectly and the marvelous lighting effects bring the whole image together nicely. The result truly is as stunning as a piece of fine art.
