DO NOT UPLOAD TO ZEROCHAN OR ANYWHERE ELSE. The ridiculously adorably cute cover for the first of three Saiyuki Reload Blast anime drama cds. Here we have the Sanzo Ikkou in full chibi style heading West and what's likely to be yet another misadventure the comedic mini dramas have been known for. I hear there's stories about strange things happening at a gym, mosquitoes attacking at night and taking the bumpiest road of all towards the nearest inn.
For a chibi illustrations, there's lots of fun little details to be noticed. Among them:
- The postal stamp/seal at the top features the release date of the CD and has Hakuryuu in Jeep form as it's
symbol
- "Route 20" is the longest road in Shangri-la (in reality, in the United States & considered
historical)
- There is "no passing" of four cars according to the triangle, but if you ask me, it just means no passing of
four guys crowded inside a car
- There's a nikuman construction zone up ahead. Beware of monkeys entering the work zone.
- The aquamarine sign in the middle (near the edge) features the release date of the CD
- Meanwhile, the blue sign below features the real catalogue number from Frontier Works for the CD.
- ...and as per the yellow sign...
- DANGER: Paperfan Smack Damage Ahead.
I can't help but smile stupid when I look at this one and I hope it'll make you smile too. I'll tell you
one other thing though: THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GET WEST!
