Sanzo may be putting on his annoyed face on and ready with paper fan on hand to shoo away Goku, but if there wasn't such trust between these two, then Goku wouldn't be able to get this close in the first place! Minekura-sensei has stated these two give strength to one another and certainly it was shown A LOT during the Saiyuki Reload Blast anime. Goku will always be looking out for Sanzo (even if San-chan here doesn't like it), and Sanzo cares about Goku more than he'll ever let it show. Papa & Son dynamics. That's all.
