"Thank you so much for having taken my hand. In 2016 too, thank you for keeping your support of Saiyuki."
Any Saiyuki fan will know how much Minekura-sensei has struggled with her health and keeping the manga going. She's even talked about hitting some low points she really felt she could not keep going. Her message is to thank her fans for the support she has been given . In the second sentence, she thanks us "in advanced" for our continued support of the series. The Japanese phrase (2nd sentence) "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" can have multiple interpretations in this particular, such as "please be kind to Saiyuki" and "Saiyuki depends on you (the reader)". I think these are all valid interpretations and reminds us of what's important.
And so, I ask all fans who are looking at this image, please do your best to continue supporting Minekura. She takes to
heart what we say or when we comment. As the fans, we are the force that keeps Minekura-sensei going through her worst
moments, so let's show her how much we love Saiyuki.
